Sending Over Your First xAPI Statement

Jeff Batt
10 November, 2020

Now that you know what xAPI is and how it can be used, how do you start sending over xAPI statements to an LRS? What files do you need, and how can you get those files? In this video, Jeff will walk you through step by step what files you need and how you can trigger your first statement to be sent over to any LRS.

This method allows you to track content outside an LMS, but it does use JavaScript. It does not use a lot of JavaScript, but some. You need to know how to trigger a function when a button is clicked on and how to get the formatted JSON provided from this tool adlnet.github.io/xapi-lab/.
