How to Use JavaScript in Articulate Storyline 360

Using JavaScript inside of Articulate Storyline 360 can unlock new possibilities and functionality that do not come out of the box with standard Storyline 360 eLearning courses. So, how do you get started with JavaScript? How does JavaScript communicate to your e-learning course?
