A Useful Template to Help Evaluate Tools

In previous jobs, I worked as a learning product manager. Part of my job was to evaluate different learning tools and systems and ensure we were using suitable applications within the organization.

So after doing the initial research, I gathered requirements from various stakeholders and used that team to help evaluate vendors when they would demo their products.

To help us score the product, I created an evaluation template that detailed all the requirements and the importance of each need to our organization. During each demo, each stakeholder would score how the vendor did in each requirement.

At the end of the demo, you would have a score for that vendor. Using that score, we could see which vendor was the best and could show our leadership why. I wanted to make that template available to everyone and walk you through how to use it.
