Using xAPI to Track Video in Storyline 360 Courses

xAPI allows you to get more data out of your learning experiences. Video is a standard media used in learning. So, how effective are your learning videos?

xAPI allows us to get more granular in our eLearning development, especially in our media. We can track when the user launches the video, when the learner reaches a certain point of the video, and when a learner completes a video all with xAPI.

This is done by utilizing xAPI statements. We can track who the learner is and what action they took and describe the activity with a simple action. Storyline 360 does not track this out of the box, so I will walk you through how to bring in a video and add statements to different events in your videos and how to follow the xAPI Video Profile standard.
